Nemesis (Heroes and Villains, #1)
by Liza Penn
A spicy romance that riffs on superhero ideas, with layered characters and more than a touch of darkness. Heroes clash with villains both inside the story and inside themselves.
About This Book
In "Nemesis," the first book of Liza Penn's "Heroes and Villains" series, the story unfolds in a world where superheroes and supervillains are deeply intertwined. The narrative centers on The Raven, a formidable villain seeking revenge against All-American Man, the nation's beloved hero. A year prior, All-American Man left The Raven gravely injured in the California desert, and now, The Raven plans to strike back by targeting All-American Man's fiancée, Lillith Giles. Recognizing Lillith's facade of happiness, The Raven sees an opportunity to dismantle the hero's life from within.
As The Raven infiltrates Lillith's world, the dynamics shift when All-American Man attempts to eliminate Lillith himself. This unexpected act positions The Raven as her protector, leading to a complex relationship where the lines between hero and villain blur. The story delves into themes of betrayal, redemption, and the moral ambiguities inherent in both heroism and villainy. The atmosphere is charged with tension, suspense, and a slow-burn romance, as both characters confront their inner demons and the blurred lines between right and wrong.

HOT & SEXLICIOUS !!!
First off i loved this story, it was fast paced, hooked me from the start right to the end. The fact there was a hot sexy mouth watering Lawyer! This story begins with letting us know that there is some sort of very recent past between Jacinta and one of her boss's Cohen Lake. Up till this point she had loved her job as legal secretary at the firm and now is contemplating having to leave. Then we learn their history. Cohen is a man that doesn't date, but is a firm believer of no dating, no exclusivity, no getting attached, and no strings attached sex ! Jacinta has sworn off men and relationshi

Too short
Nemesis Underground is a novella in the Entwined Realms series and takes place during the novel length The Dream Crafter (Entwined Realms #3). Its hard to know what to say about NU; its a very short interlude. Nemesis, an enforcer for the Seven Houses, is hanging out at club Underground when a hot little elf whos acting kind of sketchy catches her eye. Nemesis does some flirting and learns the Emrys, the elf babe is on the run from some bad guys and since she is intrigued Nemesis decides to help out. I cant really say more without giving away the entire plot. Im hoping that moving forward in

Rushed
Good story. Entertaining. However, it was too rushed. The friends to lover aspect happened too quickly. The growing friendship between them could have been stretched out for a bit longer to make the sudden shift into lovers more believable. And her lack of trust in him was also an issue for me. I hate stories that keep couples apart for stupid reasons that can be resolved if they'd just talked it out.
