About This Book
In the arid city of Zilvaren, 24-year-old Saeris Fane survives by pilfering water from the royal reserves. Her concealed alchemical abilities remain a secret until a fateful encounter with a guardian leads her to steal a golden gauntlet. This act inadvertently awakens a dormant portal, transporting her to Yvelia, a frozen realm inhabited by the Fae. There, she discovers her unique power as an Alchemist, capable of manipulating quicksilver to forge relics that bridge worlds.
Saeris's arrival in Yvelia entangles her in a complex political landscape. She becomes bound to Kingfisher, a formidable Fae warrior, through an accidental magical oath. Their initial animosity evolves into a deep, slow-burn romance as they collaborate to create portals essential for Kingfisher's stepfather, King Belikon, in his war against the vampire king Malcolm. As Saeris delves deeper into the Fae's secrets, she uncovers hidden truths that challenge her understanding of loyalty and power.
The narrative unfolds with a dark and intense atmosphere, weaving themes of political intrigue and the complexities of enemies-to-lovers dynamics. Saeris's journey is marked by suspenseful twists and the looming threat of war, all set against the backdrop of a richly imagined magical realm.

A delicious, paranormal love-story!
If you're a paranormal romance fan, youll love this one! A perfect balance of sexual tension, action, and fantasy. I was pulled into the story from the first paragraph and had trouble putting the book down. The otherworldly imagery is beautifully developed, as are the characters. I found the concept of wandering through the unguarded minds of others fascinating, and loved watching the heroine come into her own. Its the mark of a great storyteller when you're taken to places you never imagined. I look forward to the sequel!

3.5 stars This is my first time reading this author, and really the first sci fi romance I have read. At first it started out a little slow, but it did pick up a quarter of a way in to the book. The characters come alive in the book and the details of the other planet are extremely good. I also really liked the descriptions of the characters, you really got the whole picture of them and really see them. Also it was nice to have the secondary characters have some important roles in the book, so you know that you will see more of them. I hate that I didn't know it was going to be a series, beca

great start to what i hope is a new series
Quicksilver Dreams. Danube Adele Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews. When I started this I was quickly hooked, and I thought it was going to be one Id vote a five star for. Taylor is a great lead, feels so real and I felt I understood her she'd struggled, and yet still retained her kindness in her fight for a better life than the one she'd had. That makes so many people hard and yet Taylor had a genuine kindness to her I felt she's someone that could easily be a friend. I need to like my lead characters and Taylor was perfect. Then in came Ryder wow- I could see just how she felt as she
