Great spin on vampire legends
I was very curious about this was going to unravel and found the story to be very refreshing. I really enjoyed how the main characters interacted and looked forward to their twilight meetings. I thought the love at first sight was very fast but after that point, the story flowed and i couldn't put it down!!! A new fave author!

One of the best I've read lately!
Besides the quality writing, I enjoyed how the world in this untraditional vampire story had a different twist. I read this book in one sitting and am still thinking about it now. Highly recommended!

Cool as Emma Peel, Committed as Buffy the Slayer
A really fun read! At first I thought it was a zany tale told by a modern day British expatriot vampire slayer fending off Texas vampires and seeking to end her lot as a virgin spinster from the moment she sets eyes on the hot local cowboy lawman. Annie is soon revealed to be another Renard heroine with a mind of her own, the coolness of Emma Peel, and the committment of Buffy the Slayer. Indeed, the cowboy lawman has the uncanny knack for showing up in the nick of time like Steed. He seems a bit of a Dudley Doright with the ethics of Clark Kent. Love this guy! Looking forward to the se

Unique
I liked it because it was different and had a story with a few twists. It was about a vampire slayer and her family and a cowboy cop who told her she had to stop doing what she was doing because it was against the law. In the process they seem to fall in love. It was interesting, it was sit on the edge of your seat. It had spanking in it. (She had a temper and she didn't listen). It didn't have any graphic sex scenes. The ending was a little rushed for me, with a few details left off, but over all it is a happy ending and a nice read.

HFN not to fond of those so be prepared! !!
I read this with an open mind, I do like a good romance and steam, all I got was the romance part. A growing love is great and all but I think I would have been happier with a little steam. The book had a good story line I was just thinking that I could have been happy with some intimacy in the sex way not just talking about it. I did like the book that what I gave 4 stars for, I just hope the next book is a little more pleasing. I am still waiting for the next book, hopefully it will lead to something like a real romance. I would recommend this book for others if you are interested in vam

A very beautiful vampire love story.
I read this book after "Soul taker" from the same author. I'm not a big fan of romance, but this book was really entertaining. It is set in the past, somewhere in Scotland, I think. And a human girl and a vampire are trying to find a way to be together despite the laws and their families. There are a lot of love and actions. It is historically correct. The only thing that put me off a little was the love at first sight part. I mean I know it's possible, but I always have a problem to deal with it when people go against their better judgement for lusty purposes.
