About This Book
At Niveus Private Academy, an elite institution where wealth and perfection are paramount, Devon Richards and Chiamaka Adebayo stand out as the only Black students. Devon, a reserved musician on a scholarship, and Chiamaka, the ambitious head girl, find their lives upended when an anonymous entity known as "Aces" begins exposing their most intimate secrets to the entire school. As the relentless attacks escalate, both students are forced to confront the harsh realities of institutionalized racism and the personal demons they've long kept hidden.
The narrative delves into the complexities of identity, ambition, and the pervasive nature of prejudice within prestigious educational settings. Devon grapples with his family's struggles and his concealed sexuality, while Chiamaka confronts the sacrifices she's made in her pursuit of power and acceptance. Their intertwined journeys reveal the lengths individuals will go to protect themselves and each other when faced with systemic oppression.
Set against a backdrop of privilege and secrecy, the story unfolds with mounting tension, as Devon and Chiamaka's resilience is tested by betrayal, exposure, and the unyielding pursuit of justice. The atmosphere is charged with suspense, highlighting the precarious balance between trust and survival in a world that seeks to undermine them.

GREAT STORY!!!
Michelle Iannarelli is a new author for me. I really enjoyed this story. I love the emphasis on family bonds. The characters are so well written. While this is Ace and Lucy's story, you learn a great deal about the other characters too. I can't wait to read more in this series.
